ELECTRONIC PRESCRIBING

You can electronically send prescriptions to and receive renewal requests from pharmacies using the Electronic Prescribing feature of Welford Chart Notes. Prescriptions are sent via SureScripts using a company called NewCrop. Newcrop automatically checks the patient’s formulary and offers alternatives if the prescribed medication is not preferred by the patient’s formulary. It also checks for drug interactions and has both patient education leaflets and monographs for providers. It tracks the patient’s preferred pharmacies and has a complete database of medication and pharmacy information updated monthly. Welford Chart Notes logs each time you send a prescription electronically and generates the relevant G-Codes, which qualifies you for supplemental Medicare reimbursement.
